Good stuff – Shortbread / Skotske susenky

Shortbread is a traditional and my favourite EVER type of British biscuit. These cookies originate in Scotland but are very popular all over the UK. Did I say that I love them? Delicious with your afternoon cup of tea. Made from white sugar, butter (lots of it) and flour, they are baked under low temperature to avoid browning. You can usually get round shaped shortbread or fingers. For special occasions there are for example hearts and triangles to be found in the pretty tins. (On the photos one of family Christmas presents. Also a tradition 🙂 )

And which are your favourite biscuits?
